  • Helped in the development and has worked for over twelve years in a medical clinic in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico.  This clinic in Ocaroni proved care to underserved residents and is run by the Central San Joaquin Chapter of LIGA international.
  • Complete International Travel Medical courses sponsored by Duke University at Durham, North Carolina, the Wilderness Medical Society in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the University of Washington in Seattle, and the University of California, Davis, in Belize.
  • Complete the nine week Diplomat and Expert Gorgas courses in Clinical Tropical Medicine in Lima, Peru, in 2000 and 2003 respectively.  Part of the Diplomat Course took place in Cuzco & Iquitos, Peru.
  • Affiliated with Divers Alert Network (DAN).  Completed multiple courses on diving illness sponsored by DAN throughout the world.
  • Visited the new DAN headquarters in Durham, North Carolina, and toured the decompression research facilities at the Duke University Campus.
  • Extensive travel including: Thailand, Japan, Scotland, Ireland, England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the former USSR, Micronesia (Including Palau, Truk and Phonpei), Grand Caymans, Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Roatan, Caicos Islands BWI, Peru and Italy. 
  • Certificate of Knowledge in Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health
  • Working in Tacloban, Philippines, as a representative of the Filipino Red Cross during the recovery efforts following the devastation by typhoon Haiyan.
